The nature of plants and humans
Even a seed lives its life in the present moment. It's journey might be to become a flower, but it is not preoccupied with the journey, nor is it aware of it. If its destiny is to become a flower, then it does not indulge in the beauty of becoming a flower. It is not preoccupied with getting an umbrella if it rains. In fact, it lives in each moment. If there is sunshine to cherish, then it will absorb the warmth. If it rains, then it will drink its nutrition. All in all, it may not even be aware of itself, its growth.
If the seed becomes a plant, then it can experience the waves of the wind. It does not preoccupy itself with becoming a plant in order to experience anything – there is no such goal, no such purpose. It does not even know if it will flower.
It does understand that when it's exposed to water, earth, sun, wind, it can flourish. It is in harmony with all. It also does not judge the nature beside it, rather, knowing it is part of the whole.
It does not worry in the death that follows. It lives timelessly, and therefore is unconcerned about when it happens or what it will become. It is merely to be in the current moment, to cherish the life around, the nature in the here and the now.
Humans, are actually no different to nature. It is only the movement of thought that is preventing you from understanding this.
Love and light,
