Barbarism is not “out there”

We must understand that barbaric acts in this world are in our shared consciousness. We all have a relationship with what is happening in this world. It's easy to point the finger at everyone else. It's easy to criticize this country and that country. It's easy to analyze what is going on, read into it, etc. etc. It's easy to read or watch the news, say it's terrible, and then get on with our own daily lives.

But, unless we ourselves see that we are barbaric, how can it ever be transcended? Start with that fact. We humans kill each other. This very fact is insanity. Not just to look at the TV screen and say how horrible "it" is. Can we look at the fact that we are contributing to this act of terrible violence, no matter if we are directly involved in the war, or on the other side of the world minding our own business sitting on a toilet.

Why does it happen? What is this need to be divided by countries in this world. To be divided by belief systems. To be divided by rituals. Can we see that it is in itself non-natural, barbaric to be separate from each other?

The fact that most people reading this post will scroll right past it, or read some it and start objecting, or resisting to what is being said here based on beliefs, checking to see if it's written by someone "reputable", etc....

Start, or should I say stop right there.

What 𝘪𝘴 your reason?

Don't you want to see suffering eradicated from human existence?

Don't you want to see racism gone?

Don't you want to stop child suicide (or any suicide for that matter)?

Aren't you tired of living in stress and anxiety?

Then why do you resist/object/scroll past ? Is it too difficult? Are you too afraid? Don't have time?

If you really, really want to solve humanity's issue, look at yourself. Not force others to change their ways according to your own beliefs. Look at your own being - why do you resist? Why are you angry? etc.
