The Shadows of War
Dear friends, it is pointless to waver your energies to one side or another at a time of war. Instead, you carry the energy of love and light which shines for every single living being in the world. This is all and everything we need to put an end to violence in the world. There are no enemies in the world. There are ideologies and systems that live in the shadows lurking for prey that have been part of human condition for centuries. Unfortunately our innocent brothers and sisters all around the world are coerced into living life in the shadows with the false promises of security, peace, and righteousness at the cost of human lives. Nothing can be further from the truth. In the shadows, creation relies on desensitizing the mind, creating a dome of competition, separating people from each other, promoting popularity, getting rich through greed, and falling to the false pretenses of pleasure. Of course, along with that comes great suffering, pushing us further from truth, love, peace, and compassion that we actually are.
Dear brothers and sisters, the art of nothing is one such that the beam of light which you carry emerges from the shadows to lighten the world in ways that are completely unimaginable to human thinking. It releases you from the iron bars that the shadows illuded you to, to a place where actions abound from a sense of freedom, compassion, empathy, and kindness. These are found in everyday acts and awareness of the enormous naturalistic qualities that you always carry but have become accustomed to not noticing. Notice! Make the space to welcome the possibility of your light emerging from within. It does not judge, it does not expect, it does not see in the shadows but notices them - the turmoil from which compassion abounds is not one from sorrow out of a single event, but for the totality of the human mind.
One must be stubborn to uncovering one’s own lenses of darkness. Not the other person’s lenses - my lenses. Lenses that we inherit that paint our world and manifest behaviors in the shadows. Are you aware of them? The lenses of belief, the lenses of habit, the lenses of time, the lenses of choice, the lenses of control, the lenses of will. What unfolds from being aware of these lenses is a certain clarity that is unparalleled to anything thought can conjure up. A sensitive, incredible energy that sees the danger of what lurks amongst the shadows but never enters. Every moment is one of constant renewal - a reincarnation that need not take a lifetime. The light of the unknown is the healing power of all turmoil, all suffering - something the energy of the shadow tries so much to prevent you from ever seeing. But do not seek it! You will never find it. Do not create a glorified picture of it and chase the picture through some mantra or practice. Do not copy an ancient system supposedly handed down by the Gods. None of these will lead you anywhere. Instead, remain as still as the sky and life beautifies itself - whether it is hearing the water flow from a nearby stream, listening to an enchanting song of a bird, watching the waving branches of a nearby tree, or in the gentle voice of another human being.
