AI Will Create Tremendous Havoc in the World

It is pretty incredible that technology is progressing at a pace never imaginable to humans. I don’t think anyone really realizes just how rapid the progress will be in the next few decades. Technology has transformed the way humans are living today, and will continue to do so at an incredible rate. I don’t think anyone can stop this.

I was asked recently what my thoughts were about Artificial Intelligence and if I think AI will augment human intelligence or replace it. First of all, I would question what is intelligence because I see nothing intelligent about AI at all. It seems to be an advanced version of what many might call a smart human being - not intelligent (I will get into that later). That is, it is capable of computation, making decisions, talking, giving advice, creating ideas, and so forth. Perhaps the difference between a human and advancing artificial smartness is that AI will do things much faster, better, more accurate, etc.

Humans have spent an extraordinary amount of time and energy on developing technology and we have come to a point where technology will soon be able to do almost everything a human can do. It can drive a car, cook, order food without asking you, control what you eat and drink, it can do things much better than humans, including recreating videos of a person and their voice, and getting them to say whatever they want you to hear. We are coming to an extraordinary time where the brain will not be able to comprehend what is real and what is not. Technology will even invent its own gods - much better than yours, and probably go to war over it.

Soon we will be able to revive so-called famous people - bring them back from the dead in holographic format so we can create new movies from them. Or recreate gone relatives - perhaps for a modest cost.

Please don’t disagree or agree with me. I am merely giving you the chance to question all this for yourself. Since I am a nobody, my opinion about it is not important. It is your observation that is. If you observe with the belief or idea that AI is a good thing, or a bad thing, you won’t see the truth of it all.

Humans are fascinated with technology and advancement, spending not only billions of dollars every year to develop it, but so much energy. We continue to develop so many things over thousands of years of existence. It seems to be so important to us that we make progress.

I wonder why though, don’t we find it just as or even more important to question why humans have never solved the problem of war, or racism, or violence, or greed? Why don’t we give this importance? Have you ever asked the question? Can we spend the time to look inwardly at this phenomenon of why humans are not interested in solving the basic problems of humanity that have existed in thousands of years. Are we waiting for AI to solve the problems of all humanity? How can it possibly do so when it itself, has been created by human being.

The human being who has not been capable of evolve psychologically in thousands of years due to conditioning, traditions, societal structures, beliefs, dogmas, various fears, etc, whom are yet to understand how this fragmentation has divided the world in so many ways, have developed a technology based on what we are - what our consciousness is at this moment. Our consciousness is full of fear, anxiety, misunderstandings of what love really is, confused about how to live in this world, always seeking ways to survive which is based purely on the greed of chasing money, being rich, famous. Look at what is happening on social media - everyone is trying to make money. We spend so much effort and time in trying to make money, we never really look at why we feel we need to make money to live in this world.

And now we have created artificial thinkers, that will keep you in illusion. It will have you believe it can control everything, make the world a better place, teach people compassion, make you a better person, and at the same time do almost everything you are doing. You may stay in the illusion that technology will free-up human being’s lives so they can spend more time in leisure activities, be entertained by movies and games, sports, etc. It may also take over their job not giving them the opportunity to pay-back their loans or send their kids to school.

Furthermore, AI will be capable of educating your children. Teachers will be made redundant. It will create its own system of learning. But the shabacle goes on because kids will still be contained by a system that limits them to knowledge.

So you see there is tremendous change happening in the world right now. More importantly, we are not going to solve the problem of wars, violence, racism, etc with a technology that was created from a source that is full of confusion. How can the source of the problem solve itself? If humans have been incapable of solving this problem via religions or philosophies over time, do we really think artificial thinking will? And even if it could, we would just end up hailing it like a God.

Please dear reader, I am not trying to instill fear here. I am simply questioning the human condition as of today, exists. It is simply a fact. Along with that conditioning, we are designing tools/technologies that will further create confusion in the world because we simply haven't understood not take then time to understand the current state of the world. Have you ever asked yourself this question? We keep "moving ahead" to survive in a world dominated by a financial desire of the "survival of the fittest" - humans are living in a world dominated by a financial attachment. Different organizations out there, all competing with each other, all turning humans against other humans, such as "war" for talent, etc, competing for data, trying to track every single thing that you do, then offering you some amazing products or services, coming up with the next idea, and the next, and so forth. Why? When will the madness end? Not to mention that different countries will do their own thing with AI whether for military or other public purposes. I'm not sure why we continue to invent new things when we have not yet understood what it is to be a human being.

As for its name: AI - "Artificial" Intelligence. The meaning of intelligence as far as the writer is concerned is skewed in this world. I think we are talking about pure intellect here - it is an idea based on theories, experiments, etc. But intelligence is something else. It is not separate from the heart. Intelligence is the mind and heart working together. In other words, intelligence has everything to do with action based on love, unconditionally. It is not something otherwise as I have questioned many times in the HappyAsHell podcast. Without love, there is no intelligence and if it's artificial, or cultivated, there is no intelligence nor love in AI. Then what we are doing, is creating more confusion, more havoc, more fragmentation.

So, what will you do when it comes knocking on your door to tell you that you need to move-out because you can’t pay your rent; or you can no longer send your kids to the school of your choice because you don’t have a job. You see, we have been structured to live in a world which is full of limitations, conditioning. Unless you can see past this, unless you make the time and put in the effort to understand your consciousness is not just yours - the whole world suffers as you do. Your small problems are the problems of the entire world. If you cannot look past this, you will be stuck on a boat that takes you on an endless journey of greed, hope, pleasure, anxiousness, stress, suffering, for as long as there is.
