The Art of Nothing at Work
We have far too much stress, anxiety, and burnout at work. There is another way to better mental health and well-being at work.
Whilst we continue to forge ahead with technology, the changing world demands an evolving mind, and an evolving workplace culture. People are facing change at unimaginable levels in the next few years and we are already seeing the repercussions of disconnection, loneliness, unhappiness, and poor mental health at work. Thinking can only get us so far - it is time to see if we can go beyond thinking for happiness, well-being, and understanding of team work - not just at work but in our own lives.
The workplace is in dire need of a revolution. We are saturated in thoughts, systems, tools, beliefs. We need to adjust into the value system that the corporate culture presents, which also includes directives, authority, control, and constant evaluations. At the same time, we need to take care of our own personal lives which may include family, and personal goals, often ending the day drained, poor sleep, and poor health. In addition, our relationships at work are not what they seem. We are forever driving individualistic self concerns (included biases) across to the other person and trying to meet half-way. This presents us with “molded” relationships. Is all of this taking away the brain’s natural sharpness and healing ability? Are we destroying the very organism that is keeping us safe and healthy?
In this introductory session, we explore what workplaces are trying their best to do, what we can look at instead, and understand a little more about how we think we are operating in this world to “free-up” the extraordinary energy we put into life with something much more liberating!
You will get a glimpse into your own mind to explore what is your mind telling you and if there is a will to tap into the extraordinary power of the brain as the instrument it is designed for: safety and movement.
Gab shares his experience in going beyond hardship, burnout, workplace stress, anxiety, teamwork.
“If you could only see how this completely changes your life, you will come to realize that you are no longer in conflict with your environment. You respond instead of doing what you have done for most of your life which is react.“
